As some of you might have noticed, I was looking for a new camera bag. Yesterday, the mailman delivered the Billingham 225 (Black/Tan version) I ordered at Kamera Express.
The reason for me getting this bag is that it holds more space, pockets, zippers etc. than my Crumpler Daily M. It's also safer in regards to prying fingers. Additional advantages are that the bag is less conspicuous, and looks way better than the Crumpler (I know... taste....).
The Billingham 225 camera bag holds a Nikon D300 with an attached Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 (with reversed lens hood). There's even room for several additional (small) primes in the main compartment. I also tried a D300 with 17-55mm attached (lens hood attached) and several primes (including a 85mm f/1.8). This also fitted quite easily. Reversing the lens hood gave me even more space. The additional (front) compartments hold your flashes (you can 'loose' two flashes in the front pockets). Smaller items (like batteries, GPS devices, filters e.a.) can be stored in the smaller compartment. Safely locked away behind a zipper.
Gear that goes in the main compartment (flash goes in a front pocket)On the back of the back is a compartment for papers, passports, travel itinerary, etc.
A more in-debt review (regarding the use) will be posted after my travels.
